This exhibition has more than 200 pieces from 3000 B.C. through the early 20th century, considered one of the best collections of jewelry assembled by a private collector in United States. But what you might like to check out are the 14 pieces from the medieval era, including a gold over bronze gemstone, glass, and meerschaum Visigothic eagle called “Eagle Fibula” from Spain, as well as some other objects from East Anglia, Italy, and Constantinople.

If you would like to know more about the exhibition, go to the Walters’ Press Room at http://www.thewalters.org/news_art_museum/pressdetail.aspx?e_id=57 or contact Amy Mannarino at publicrelations@thewalters.orgAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
