So far, an interesting foray into the world of open threads. While no one has posted here in the actual open thread, many people have posted comments in the post *about* open threads.

As you ponder, consider this: I visit your site from a referral on a friends site and find the discussions very interesting so I keep coming back. I'd love to comment here but it's been about 30 years since I read and studied Beowulf. I'm always looking for an opportunity to join the conversation but only if I can add some value.

The World Premiere of "Beowulf" (an two act opera written by Edwardo Perez with a libretto in Old English) happens Friday March 31, 2006 in Hurst, Texas.
