No Lack of Guthlac
JJ Cohen has a longish and interesting excerpt from Medieval Identity Machines on Guthlac and Anglo-Saxon colonialism. Normally a bit more history-oriented than my tastes run, but given how much like I Cohen's writing, added to the quality of this piece, I might have to interrupt literary reading for a peek at his book.

In general I think Cohen is a blowhard but thanks for linking to this piece.
ReplyDeleteBy the way I believe it is the first time that anything said author has ever written has been described as "history-oriented."
