I've been trying to think of funny comments to make about this Onion story, but each time I come up with one it is either lame, or potentially offensive if people don't get the joke. Therefore, I give you the link without an attempt to amuse you myself.
The sad thing is that tenure-review paranoia is so common in academia that the story isn't implausible.
