Beowulf Brew

I find this little video quite charming. It starts off as an enactment of the first two fights Beowulf has, and ends up a faux commercial. Perhaps what I find most charming of it is "Grendel's Mother," who seems very confused in the battle scene.

I wonder if the video is more influenced by John Gardner's Grendel than the poem. The prop that is Grendel is, at one point, in a tree, reminding me of Grendel being stuck in the crook of a tree in Gardner's book.
