Beowulf and Christianity

The Bourgeois Nerd sent me this link a few days ago, but I resisted putting it on until I had a non-Beowulfian post. Alas, all the news at the moment seems to be about popular adaptations of Beowulf -- perhaps the effect of half of the Anglo-Saxon scholarly world being at ISAS. Why am I not at ISAS? Ran out of time and money. Here's hoping I can make it next time.

In any case, I don't want to wait any longer, so here's "Beowulf, Suffering Servant."

  1. Did you know that Beowulf disproves evolution?

aaand... it's a load of bollocks, but an interesting twist of logic nonetheless

I was excited about the new movie coming out until I learned it was going to be an animated film, the kind of animation they did with the Polar Express but supposedly better. Not so excited about it anymore.

  3. Beowulf: Prince of the Geats is not animated. I was an extra in the movie, so I should know.
