Firefly Arthuriana
A quick bleg -- has anyone written about Arthuriana in Firefly? I had a student ask me today about Arthurian allusions in Firefly, and I couldn't remember any off the mere 16-or-so episodes, but maybe others have written about it.
My young teen just started a rewatching session, and I asked her to keep an eye out, but nothing has struck her yet. I don't recall anything in particular and haven't stumbled across anything written on it. Did your student or anyone else come up with anything?
I don't know of any writing about Arthuriana in Firefly; and, though I've been re-watching it all recently, and tend to be very alert to mediaevalism in my recreational viewing/reading, nothing's struck me as particularly Arthurian, certainly not as deliberate allusions. You could spin an elaborate metaphor on it, I'm sure - Inara balancing the different traditions of Guenevere? the Alliance/Reavers as the invaders? - but it would be a stretch, and you could do it as well with Old Testament figures, or any other canon with influential symbolic weight to it.
Your post is so wonderful and really very informative .I really appreciate thanks for sharing keep it up i visit again your website. for More Information Please Visit: ERP Software
Way lat on this...but I don't think so. I'd say though that they are more general "arthuriana" than "arthurian."
