- Got Medieval has had a series of funny posts of late, including one on the relative sexiness of Viking female garb, and one on medieval fanfic.
- Heavenfield gives us a post on the importance of prayer beads in the late Middle Ages, and the Person of the Week, Bishop Trumhere.
- The Weird Medieval Animal of the Week is the badger, an animal known for its teamwork.
- In the Middle, which will soon be hosting Carnivalesque XXXVII, has Karl Steel (with a name like that, he should be a secret agent or a stuntman) on Symkyn, the miller in "The Reeve's Tale," and the abstract from his Exemplaria article. Karl enters the ranks of published scholars! Hooray!
- The Material Medieval Culture Blog tells us of an upcoming online map of medieval Chester that promises to have all sorts of neat features, and also tells us of a medieval art display entitled "Realms of Faith" at the Walters Art Museum.
- The medieval English word of the day is bobbaunce.
- Navit (a.k.a. "Papa's Secret Voodoo Boot") critiques James H. Morey's arguments about Beowulf.
- News for Medievalists has had a couple of updates, with too many interesting items to list.
- Scribal Terror tells us that over 3000 11th century Anglo-Saxon skeletons are to be reinterred. I wish I could give the eulogy at that funeral.
- The Heroic Age has a bunch of links.
OK, there's more ... but I've got to drop off the kiddies at school, and suspect I'll be deluged with students again this morning, so I'll call it quits here for today.
