Oooh, I don't feel so good...

According to this article, "very, very" heavy eaters of kimchi are at risk for stomach cancer. I hope by that vague measure they mean heavy relative to Koreans, not heavy relative to your average human. If it is heavy relative to Koreans, I'm fine. If it is heavy relative to average humans, I may be in trouble.

Not that it's going to change my kimchi eating habits. Yum!

    That's disconcerting. 10 times what though? Maybe it's only ten times .0000000001% or something. I could live with that. Everything gives you cancer. Sunshine, kimchi, what's next? Fluffy bunnies?

  2. I'm just guessing, but I'd guess that the kimchi isn't at fault here. Perhaps those who eat great amounts of kimchi also drink too much soju, which would be more likely to be a factor in stomach cancer.
