Medieval Attitudes on Legal Documents

Jonathan Jarrett over at A Corner of Tenth-Century Europe has two posts about medieval attitudes on legal documents -- very learned pieces, with a great deal more than I know about that particular subject. You can find Part One here, and Part Two here.

    You're too kind Professor: my learning, like any recent doctor talking about their subject, may look good and deep but it's not terribly broad...

    (Note to self: could I have got the Dukes of Hazzard into that post by comparing Guifré of Nèspola to Boss Hogg or Sheriff Roscoe? Maybe save that for the publication...)
