Medieval Money

Zsuzsa Papp, a postgrad at Leeds, has created the Medieval Fundfinder, a board that offers a central location for funding opportunities for students of medieval studies.

Interestingly, my university filter blocks this website because it is "pornography." I had to view it at home, and, alas, was untitillated. I'll be adding a permanent link to this board.

I see it as the ultimate proof that money is a dirty word in academia and there are powers beyond our comprehension at work to warn us not to dabble with it. :o)

I hope you will be able to use the page one way or another in the future. A clandestine internet cafe disguised as a launderette could be a solution for anyone whose internet life is purged by their respective temples of knowledge. Scholarships are sordid sordid affairs.

If the page turns out to be successful and I have positive feedback I promise to transfer to a more accessible format with more services.

I would like to thank you for your kind post and link. I hope the page will be useful for many a merry medievalist.

....either that or it's just that the boardster server is down. Annoying, if so. If it doesn't fix itself within days, I'll change host. Will keep you and the community posted.
